QR code is something we are no longer consider it as the coolest technology anymore. One of the reason is the QR code is not that pretty. Ok, I would admit this.

However, consider some of the advantages and creativity it has, I would probably use it when I roll out my campaign if necessary. Here's a perfect example.

E-mart is the walmart in South Korea. In order to increase the sale in lunch time, it comes up with a cool way to make people want to scan the QR code and still stays relevant. This cool idea combined the ancient sundial concept and QR code. Watch the video to see how it works.

Due to the innovative way of utilizing QR code technology, this sunny sale campaign wins several awards includes London International Awards and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Since mobile devices are still dominating our life, I personally think that QR code is the most cost-efficient way to integrate online and offline marketing campaigns for several reasons.

Firstly, it's almost free to generate a QR code. There are many online tools such as QRCode-Generator can help you. These tools only requires you to sign up with E-mails and you can build a QR code. Compared to beacon, which costs you hundreds dollars to purchase the hardware and another thousands dollars to build an app, QR code costs you nearly nothing.

Secondly, QR code are far more comprehensive than people know. It can carry many different forms of message such as URL, text message, images gallery or even a song. The most useful part is that these free tools allow you to track and see the statistic data. You are able to know how many times your QR code is scanned, which devices people use to scan, and at what time they scan it.

Lastly, QR code is the tool to mobilize people from on site to online. Imagine you are one of the booths in an event. You want to drive people to your website for some reasons. Instead of making people stand in front of you and type URL into their browser, it easier for them to simply scan the QR code to make it.

If you are someone who has limited budget or frequently need people to go to your website when they in the store or event, build a QR code for your customers. This is a win win for both of you.
